The Well Known Country Music Legend George Strait Has Scheduled an In-the-round

The LAVA Music is going to present the hottest Music on the Mountain concert Sunday, featuring Strait Country, a tribute to the music of George Strait, from 1 to 5 p.m. The outdoor concert takes place in Summer haven on Mount Lemmon. Kevin Sterner pays tribute to the music of Strait, performing hits such as “Amarillo by Morning,” “All My Ex’s Live in Texas,” “Ocean Front Property,” “The Chair” and more. Janet Jackson tour to be extended through the fall

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) – Janet Jackson is currently on her sold-out “Number Ones” tour and, while the original plan was to only perform 35 dates, she’s planning on extending the tour through the fall.

“Number Ones: Up Close & Personal Tour,” Jackson’s largest ever world tour, has already seen her perform in Asia and North America. Jackson announced Monday that the tour is being expanded to even more cities worldwide.

Jackson was originally set to hit 35 cities in celebration of her 35 #1 hits, as compiled in her recent “Number Ones” release, but has since had to add more dates to fulfill demand. Some shows sold out as quickly as 10 minutes after tickets went on sale.

Jackson is finishing up her first North American leg of the tour and is still set to perform dates across Europe over the spring and summer, including stops in London, Paris and Monte Carlo. Another North American leg is set for the fall.

“When creating music or a tour, I draw from what is going on in my life and hope that the fans relate to it,” Jackson said. “I am excited to know that the fans are having a great time at my shows and are asking for more. Thanks for all the love and your input on where I should take the show next. I’ll see you soon!”

The additional cities and dates on Jackson’s tour have yet to be announced.

Fantasia Barrino boycotted Grammys over Aretha Franklin tribute snub

Los Angeles, CA, United States (CNS) – Fantasia Barrino won her very first Grammy Award this Sunday after numerous nominations before, but if anyone has noticed, she wasn’t there to accept her trophy. It turns out she was boycotting the show because she wasn’t asked to be a part of the tribute number for Aretha Franklin.

Christina Aguilera, Yolanda Adams, Florence Welch, Martina McBride, and Jennifer Hudson – Fantasia’s fellow contestant in the 3rd season of “American Idol, the very season when Fantasia was declared champ – performed together to give tribute to music icon.

Fantasia reveals she was hurt when she wasn’t asked to be part of the number. As to why she should be considered is anyone’s guess.

She told BET’s “106 & Park” Monday, “I’m going to be very honest with you. You know I wasn’t at the Grammys last night. I’m kind of going through my own little thing.”

“Last night they were honoring someone who is my idol, Aretha Franklin, and there is no way I could have sat there and not got the happy feet and wanting to jump on the mic because she is my favorite so I felt like at the end of the day I should have been on that stage so I kind of did my own little thing last night.”

Despite snubbing the show, it still turned out to be a great night for the 26-year-old singer. She won her first Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for “Bittersweet” after several nods in the past.

Janet Jackson To Tour In 2011

Los Angeles, CA, United States (CNS) – Janet Jackson has announced what she describes as her “largest ever world tour” to take place in 2011, where she’ll perform all of her hits off last year’s “Number Ones” collection.

“Many of asked, ‘When will I tour again?’ Well, today I’m really excited to answer that question and to announce my largest ever world tour, celebrating 35 #1′s,” Janet said.

The cities have yet to be announced because the fans get to demand the cities she performs in. She’ll perform in for 35 dates across the globe next year. A list of cities is available for voting at www.janetjackson.com.

Among the cities eligible for voting are New York, Los Angeles, Miami in the States, and even Hong Kong, Singapore, and Milan, Italy overseas.

“Number Ones” features over 30 of Janet’s biggest hits, including “Rhythm Nation,” “If,” “Nasty,” and her latest #1 dance hit “Make Me.”

Her upcoming world tour is Janet’s first since 2008′s “Rock Witchu” Tour, which featured Janet performing songs from her latest album “Discipline.”
