Keith Olbermann speaks out on Gay Marriage
Los Angeles, CA, United States (Celebrity News Service) – Keith Olberman made his feelings on gay marriage clear on last night’s edition of “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” on Current TV.
Olberman gave a powerful Special Comment in support of gay marriage which included a message aimed at the people who cite religion and politics for their opposition to the cause.
“This is, corny as it seems, is not about politics or religion or power or lobbying. It is about LOVE. In a time of impermanence and fly-by-night relationships these people over here want the same chance at permanence and happiness that is already yours,” Olberman said in the message.
“They don’t want to deny you yours. They don’t want to take anything away from you. They want what you want: a chance to be a little less alone in the world. And your acceptance of their love turns out to be your own expression of love to your fellow human beings,” he added.
Olberman debuted the new “Countdown with Keith Olberman” on Current TV on June 20th following his highly publicized departure from MSNBC.
