When I found out that calls from friends no longer had to be announced by some cheesy MIDI tune, I was so excited that I was willing to pay to use songs I already owned as ringtones. It didn’t hit me that I was getting ripped off until I started realizing that the ringtones I was buying were not even songs that I genuinely loved, but simply the best stuff available.
