Lindsay Lohan sues rapper Pitbull over “Give Me Everything”

Anthony Jones – Celebrity News Service Reporter

Los Angeles, CA, United States (Celebrity News Service) – Lindsay Lohan is doing some damage control on her image and she’s not letting a damaging reference to her on a hit song slide. She’s suing rapper Pitbull over his #1 single “Give Me Everything.”

According to TMZ, Lohan is suing over the line where Pitbull references her legal troubles, rapping, “I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan.”

Lohan claims in the lawsuit that “the lyrics, by virtue of its wide appeal, condemnation, excoriation, disparaging or defamatory statements by the defendants about the plaintiff are destined to do irreparable harm to the plaintiff.”

The song was released back in March and topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart in June. It’s remained in the top 10 since and has sold over 2 million copies.

“Give Me Everything” also features Ne-Yo and Afrojack, who are also named defendants in the lawsuit.

Lindsay isn’t exactly asking Pitbull to “Give Me Everything” as far as money goes. She just wants to stop all broadcasting of the song, which will definitely be hard to do. It’s currently one of the biggest songs at radio and Pitbull and Ne-Yo are even scheduled to perform the track at next week’s MTV “Video Music Awards.”

In the lawsuit, filed by Stephanie Ovadia (who also helped with the Linsday’s E*TRADE ad lawsuit), Lindsay says she’s “suing under the New York civil rights laws, which protects people from having their name exploited for commercial purposes.”

LMFAO stay on top, Bad Meets Evil earn first-ever top 10 on Billboard Hot 100

Anthony Jones – Celebrity News Service Reporter

Los Angeles, CA, United States (Celebrity News Service) – LMFAO spends a fourth week at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, which also sees Bad Meets Evil earn their first-ever top 10 single with “Lighters.” Bad Meets Evil is Eminem’s latest project, and the single is of course far from being the rapper’s first top 10.

LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem,” which also features Lauren Bennett and GoonRock, continues its four-week long streak at #1 on the Hot 100, while also earning another week at #1 on the digital songs chart, selling 209,000 copies.

Katy Perry follows with “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)” at #2, inching even closer to the #1 spot which, if it goes all the way to the top, would match Michael Jackson’s record of five #1 singles from a single album (which in his case was “Bad”). The single sells 164,000 copies this week.

“Give Me Everything,” the former #1 from Pitbull with Ne-Yo, Afrojack & Nayer, drops a spot to #3 this week, selling 127,000 copies. Nicki Minaj jumps up a spot to #4 with “Super Bass,” selling 154,000. Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” is down to #5 this week, selling 121,000 copies.

Lil Wayne’s “How To Love” holds on to its peak of #6 for another week, selling 139,000 copies, while Hot Chelle Rae jump from #9 to #7 with “Tonight, Tonight,” selling 148,000 copies. Lady Gaga’s “The Edge of Glory” slips down to #8 this week, while OneRepublic’s “Good Life” is down one to #9.

Bad Meets Evil’s “Lighters,” with Bruno Mars, jumps from 17 all the way to #10. Selling 143,000 copies, the Eminem and Royce da 5’9″ duo’s track helps Eminem earn his second top 10 this year (after his appearance on Dr. Dre’s “I Need a Doctor”). Bruno Mars earns his sixth with the track.

Lady Gaga rush-releases controversial new single ‘Judas.

Anthony Jones – Celebrity News Service Reporter

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) – Although it wasn’t officially due until next week, most likely to coincide with the Easter holiday, Lady Gaga is giving her fans a good Friday. Her new religious-themed single “Judas” is getting the rush release.

After portions of the song leaked in questionable quality, Gaga is putting the song for sale on iTunes Friday. The track was written by Gaga and produced by her longtime collaborator RedOne, who helmed her hits “Bad Romance” and “Poker Face.”

“When he comes to me, I am ready / I’ll wash his feet with my hair if he needs,” Gaga sings on the track. “I’m just a Holy Fool, oh baby he’s so cruel / But I’m still in love with Judas, baby.”

It’s the second single off Lady Gaga’s upcoming album “Born This Way,” which hits stores on May 23. The title track topped the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks.

Although it has yet to be released, Gaga’s already courting controversy for the video for “Judas.” The video was shot last month and was co-directed by Gaga and choreographer Laurieann Gibson.

Gaga is said to be portraying prostitute-turned-disciple Mary Magdalene in the clip and is already receiving heat from religious groups and Latin activist groups.

Lady Gaga earns third #1 single on Billboard Hot 100 with “Born This Way”

Anthony Jones – Celebrity News Service Reporter

Los Angeles, CA, United States (CNS) – Lady Gaga may have gotten a lot of flack for her “Express Yourself”-inspired new single and what some considered a runny performance of it at the Grammys, but “Born This Way” shoots all the way to #1 in its first week, giving Gaga her third #1 single on the chart, following her early chart-toppers “Just Dance” and “Poker Face.”

“Born This Way” sells 448,000 copies in its first week, giving her the biggest first-week digital sales total for a female solo artist, breaking Britney’s just-set record last month for “Hold It Against Me.” The total was earned after just three official days in release, and definitely earned a Grammys boost. The single is also Billboard’s 1000th #1 single since it began charting in 1958.

Katy Perry is up a spot to #2 this week from #3 with “Firework,” selling another 170,000 copies. Bruno Mars is down one to #3 with “Grenade,” selling 143,000 copies. Last week’s #1, Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow,” drops three spots to #4 this week, selling 153,000.

Pink is down a spot to #5 this week with “F—kin’ Perfect,” her second single off “Greatest Hits…So Far!!!,” also selling in the 153,000 range. Enrique Iglesias holds in the #6 spot with “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You),” which features Ludacris and DJ Frank E.

Cee Lo Green earns a new peak position with his single “F— You (Forget You)”, which jumps from #16 to #7 this week. It had previously peaked at #7 but also earned a boost thanks to the Grammys, where he performed the track with Gwyneth Paltrow. It sells 148,000 this week.

Rihanna’s “What’s My Name” drops out of the top 10 just as her “S&M” climbs in, jumping all the way from #31 to #8. The single sells 145,000 this week and earns Rihanna her 15th top 10 hit (and third off “Loud.”)

The Black Eyed Peas climb back into the top 10 thanks to a boost from their Super Bowl performance with “The Time (Dirty Bit),” selling 153,000 copies. Britney Spears, meanwhile, closes out the top 10 for another week with her latest, “Hold It Against Me.”

Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 For the Week Ending February 26th, 2011:

2. “Firework,” Katy Perry

3. “Grenade,” Bruno Mars

4. “Black & Yellow,” Wiz Khalifa
