Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) – Adele spends her eighth week at #1 on the Billboard Albums chart with her latest, “21.” The album, featuring her current #1 hit “Rolling in the Deep,” sells another 156,000 copies, earning her the most weeks at #1 since Taylor Swift’s “Fearless” in 2009.
To show just how unstoppable the British songstress is, she’s even featured on the #2 album, “Now 38.” Among other artists like Britney Spears, Ke$ha, and The Black Eyed Peas, Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” is one of the many hits featured in the compilation, selling 68,000 this week.
Starting at #3 is the Lonely Island with their sophomore album, “Turtleneck & Chain.” The comedy album, which features guest spots from Akon, Nicki Minaj, and Michael Bolton, opens with 68,000 copies. Christina Perri, who earned a hit with single “Jar of Hearts,” debuts at #4 with her first album “Lovestrong,” selling 58,000 copies.
Odd Future’s Tyler, the Creator debuts at #5 with “Goblin,” selling 45,000 copies. Beastie Boys drop down four spots to #6 with “Hot Sauce Committee Part 2″ in its second week, selling 42,000 copies.
At #7 is The Cars, who release their first album in 24 years with “Move Like This.” Earning the group their fifth top 10 album, their first effort since 1987′s “Door to Door” sells 36,000 copies in its first week. Fleet Foxes fall four spots to #8 with “Helplessness Blues,” selling 34,000.
At #9 is Jennifer Lopez, who also drops down four spots to #9 with “Love?,” selling 33,000 copies. Jason Aldean’s “My Kinda Party” climbs up two spots to #10 this week, selling 28,000 copies.
